UST Umweltsensortechnik GmbH, established in 1991, is an innovative medium sized enterprise (>100 employees) in the field of ceramic sensor technology.

Main products:
- Platinum thin-film temperature sensor elements (Pt10… Pt10000)
- Custom designed semi finished temperature probes (-100°C...+1000°C)
- (MOX) gas sensor elements/arays (CO, H2, C2H5OH, CH4, NO2, NH3, O3, refrigerants, VOC's a.o.)
- Active gas sensor systems (CO2/VOC's, H2 a.o.)
- Gas leak detectors for mobile and stationary application (H2, CO2, CH4, C3H8, refrigerants a.o.)

Fields of application: industrial process measurement, automotive electronics, building automation, energy engineering, environmental technology, safety engineering, medical engineering.
Sensors of UST Umweltsensortechnik GmbH are used for example in: car flap control systems, temperature and exhaust gas control systems, systems for the detection of smouldering fire in lignite power plants and subways and indoor air quality measurement systems.

What we offer

Platinum temperature sensors
-on a ceramic base chip with a thin film laser structured platinum layer.
- for operating temperatures up to 400 °C
- available in various shapes and dimensions.

Gas sensors
UST gas sensors predominantly for health and safety applications.
- consists of semiconducting oxides, applied to a ceramic carrier substrate incorporating a platen heater to control the sensor temperature.
The measuring range, depending on the different types of gases, stretches from a few ppb to vol.%-range.

We offer our extensive knowledge and experience to assist our clients in the correct selection of sensors. UST can manufacture sensors developed specially for clients in volumes of a few hundred to 10 million plus.
