What we offer

The rapid development of renewable energy demands an urgent need for research on electrochemical energy storage.
Due to the intermittence of wind and solar energy, energy storage is necessary to level the fluctuation of power generation. Thus, redox-flow batteries (RFB) are one important technology for flexible and efficient energy storage. RFB are electrochemical devices storing electricity in liquid electrolytes. The cathode side and the anode side are separated by a technical membrane allowing proton transport, completing the electrical circuit.
The team Membrane technology develops low-cost technical
membranes used in electrochemical processes for efficient
energy conversion.
