The Institute of Microtechnology (IMT) with its 300 m² clean
room facilities and various laboratories and measurement
rooms develops microtechnological processes for research
focused on microsystems. The IMT offers a broad spectrum of applications with Lab-on-Chip systems for medicine,
pharmacy, biology and a wide range of industrial sensors such as the 3D micro probing system.

What we offer

The integration of micro probing systems into standard gear measuring instruments permits fully automated measurement of micro gears with modules smaller than 1 mm. The 3D microprobe consists of a high sensitive silicon micro force sensor and a vertical stylus. Thanks to developments in micro manufacturing processes, styli with probe ball diameters between 300 and 50 μm are now available.
