ZetA is a dedicated service lab for design and characterization of porous materials with active surfaces used as sorbents, desiccants and heterogeneous catalysts. We have quick access to a wide range of all kinds of materials starting from activated carbons, silica, zeolites or MOFs, and are experienced in various fields of application in gas/solid- or fluid/solid-based processes.

Solid sorbents and heterogeneous catalysts are widely used in various processes like for removing of bad smells, defined release of parfumes, treatment of exhaust gases, desiccants etc. However, a lot of processes can be improved by employing rigid sorbents.

ZetA defines and performs application-specific materials testing routines to speed up development processes for tailor-made sorbents in close contact with the customers needs.

R&D Services - Application of Sorbents and heterogenous Catalysts

What we offer

First of all we provide support, perform experiments and provide relevant data for applying sorbents or heterogeneous catalysts for customer-specific processes.
Examples are
- purification of gases or liquids via removing of pollutants by adsorption processes
- catalytic conversion of toxic gases in exhaust streams by heterogeneous catalysts.
- controlled release of odours or drugs from sorbents
etc.

What we are looking for

We are looking for customers, who are curious if a specific taks can be improved by applying active materials like sorbents or heterogeneous catalysts.

What we offer

We have long-term experiences in application and design of active porous sorbents. For first testing settings in lab-scale material screening we can rely on a large library of different materials with various pore sizes and chemistries Furthermore we are able to synthesize and modify these materials to meet the requirements of a desired application. Examples are zeolites (molecular sieves etc.), silica (native and modified), activated carbons and MOFs.
